Leo Thomas Keim
Leo Thomas Keim, 84, passed away at home surrounded by his family, he was called to our lord on February 28, 2017. Born in Mahanoy City, he was the son of the late Alphonsus and Anna (Kaier) Keim. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia (McGovern) Keim, they celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary this February. Leo served his country in the army during the Korean War from 1952-1954. He was employed by the Bethlehem Steel Corporation from 1950-1994, and was Shop Steward for Local 2600 between 1966-1971. Leo served as constable in Lehigh County between 1966-1874, and was on the planning commission for Hanover Township for 40 years. Leo was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Allentown, and a member of the American Legion Post 0367.
SURVIVORS: Wife: Patricia Ann (McGovern) Keim; daughter: Linda Capriole and husband Robert of Northampton; sons: Thomas and wife Rebecca Keim of Nazareth, Daniel and wife Michelle of Orefield, and Matthew and wife Jodi of Bethlehem; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by brother Joseph Keim and sister Theresa M. Schlitzer.
SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30am on March 2nd, 2017 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic church in Allentown, 501 Ridge avenue, followed by burial at Holy Savior Cemetery, 2575 Linden St. in Bethlehem. A visitation will be held prior to service at 9:00am at Weber Funeral Homes, 502 Ridge Ave.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Lukes Hospice Care or American Legion Post 0367
